Tibet's Cry for Freedom

A plug for Silver Sun Pictures

This photograph below left, was taken at the official launch of Silver Sun Pictures at Dickson, in a new purpose built studio facially with Couch Creative. They have since moved to Kingston.

One of the highlights for me working there was their support in post-producing a documentary I brought in for Adelaide Filmmaker Lara Damiani's film Tibet's Cry for Freedom

The other highlight for me personally was when Silver Sun Pictures took over the Canberra Short Film Festival and I the became the Director. That was a challenging yet very rewarding moment in my career. Silver Sun have given me an opportunity to become the filmmaker I am today.

Silver Sun Pictures are the quite achievers in Canberra's fledgling screen industry, having supported ScreenACT in the post-production of Locks of Love, an anthology of Canberra short films which will soon premiere in November this year.

The guys Rohan, Greg, Andy and Michael are working on another three features as well, so if you are looking for post-production partners - give them a call.

The guys are very talented, but they are also approachable and will bend over backwards to help. Go and visit!   Website

Tibet's Cry for Freedom

Inspired by a burning passion to raise awareness of the Tibet Freedom Struggle to a mainstream global audience, first time filmmaker Lara Damiani embarked on a journey to uncover the truth about Tibets long suffering non-violent freedom struggle and why China's grip on Tibet is so tight.

A feature documentary I pitched to Silver Sun Pictures and post-produced on behalf of Adelaide Producer Lara Damiani from The Tibet Project.

Featuring: The Dalai Lama
Narrated by: Kerry Armstrong

The Tibet Project is one filmmaker's initiative to help raise awareness about the Tibetan freedom struggle and it's significance to the world. The first part has been an independently produced documentary called Tibet's Cry For Freedom. SilverSun Pictures, as co-producer, provided all the post production for this important documentary.

"Tibet's Cry for Freedom" has been aired on TV New Zealand and Czech Television. It's been shown at film festivals in France, Finland, USA, India, Canada, the UK and currently across India. Public screenings have taken place in Indonesia, around Australia, Austria, Portugal, Finland, Iceland and New Zealand.
